Pack warm dry clothes in the trash bags and mark "adult," "child" or with names. Pack sweatshirts, socks, underwear and pants for each family member and put with your emergency kit. Keep raincoats where they can be retrieved easily.

Use one trash bag per person, cut a hole in the sealed end (bottom) of the bag to fit over the head, and armholes on each side. DO NOT USE THIS FOR SMALL CHILDREN, and make very sure they keep any plastic away from their face.

• Keep paper towels, plates and plastic utensils to use until you are able to clean up your regular dishes. You may also want to purchase styrofoam bowls and cups to add to your kit.
• Paper towels can be used to dry hands and faces as well as for general cleanup.
• Baby Wipes can be used to clean up your family before changing into dry clothes. Clean, dry feet and hands can make us much more comfortable while resting.
• Keep small cuts and scrapes covered with first aid cream and band-aid to prevent infection from contaminated waters.
